Pirates

pirate scum of the skies; What brings you here?

Rants masquerading as essays -- all about our favorite pirates -- find their way here. Ideally, if you enjoy reading about Balthier, Fran, and their Partnership, you've reached the right place; however, you may have noticed that the current selection is a bit thin. As the game has only just recently hit western shores (and I -- get this -- actually waited to play it before starting a shrine), this is still very much a work in progress. Fortunately, improvements are lined up and will be posted as promptly as my schedule permits.

Spoilers abound in all but the introduction. It is highly recommended that you finish playing through Final Fantasy XII before trying to make heads or tails of anything discussed here at Partners in Crime. Granted, playing through the game does not guarantee an understanding of my rambling, but it's a good place to start.

Basics

straight to the point, aren't we? I like that

General information about the dynamic duo. Who they are, what they do, where they come from, and what's in their hair.

Buzzwords

a pirate should know that words are worth gil uncountable

Supposedly all-inclusive terms used in tandem with Balthier and Fran (both officially and otherwise); how it fits or conflicts.

With and Against

do me a favor and stay where I can keep my eye on you

They may be the leaders of this production, but they share the stage with many other players.

Beyond

how much is the price on your head these days, I wonder?

Their story isn't over. Balthier and Fran return for a sequel, hop around a game board, and have a doppelganger or two in another time.
