manga

Call me old-fashioned, but I was hoping for a treasure whose worth we could measure

A Final Fantasy XII comic (manga) is in the process of being published through Square Enix under its GanGan Comics inprint. Illustrated by Gin Amou, it has only published in Japanese thus far.

I honestly don't know much about this. A chance search at HMV.co.jp piqued my interest, and then I found it a few days later at a local bookstore where I picked it up. The important thing is that it's, like, a Balthier Bananza up in here; he's the true leading man. For that reason, I've been slightly at a loss of what to scan; there's just so much Balthier but there aren't a lot of great panels featuring both Balthier and Fran. Nevertheless, here are some samples to hold you over.

Volume 4 has more gracious -- gorgeous -- panels featuring Fran as well as the pair together. I've only scanned a sampling of them. If you're a fan of the two (who isn't?), I'd consider picking that one up.

All images are scanned by me; if you're interested in buying your own copy, check this search HMV.co.jp (sale and shipping options are available in English). HMV.co.jp's overseas shipping isn't quite as brutal as Amazon JP's.
