now is looking like a good time for us to leave
Partners in Crime -- as I'm calling it now -- was something I knew was probably going to happen before actually playing the game. I became attached to Fran with her viera ears and bow as soon as she was introduced in Square Enix's promotional campaign. My viera archer in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance had single handedly saved the day on numerous occasions, and the idea of one of her sisters starring in the next FF installment was exciting in an admittedly geeky kind of way.
As for Balthier... well, he's Balthier. Who would I be to say no to a dashing sky pirate?
Actual construction of the site did not begin until about 50 hours into my game (which was probably really 100 hours since every boss killed me dead multiple times), making this something fairly new to me. Usually I don't "enshrine" -- so to speak -- a character until I've gone over his or her story multiple times; never before had I started a site while still in the middle of my first run-through. Although I don't think the final product will necessarily reflect this change of pace, it was interesting constantly adjusting the fansite's future content and focus to fit my understanding of the story as it expanded. As it stands now, of course, it's admittedly less of a true "shrine" and more of an experiment to see how many times I can reference "Sexyback" before an attempt is made on my life. However, I have no doubt that I'm going to have to play it at least once more to really get a grip on who's who, and this site will hopefully continue to expand as my understanding does.
all skiff, no ship. Hardly fit for a leading man.
